Depois do Mercado do Bolhão, há mais um histórico edifício a reabrir as suas portas à cidade. Após um período de obras de reabilitação, o ‘velhinho’ Batalha Centro de Cinema surge agora renovado.
A inauguração está marcada para esta sexta-feira, dia 9 de dezembro, mas a celebração vai estender-se durante todo o fim de semana, com uma programação especial, que abrange várias atividades, incluindo exposições, sessões de cinema, visitas guiadas e DJ sets, entre outras.
A 9 de dezembro, sexta-feira, às 17h30, todas as pessoas poderão percorrer o edifício e explorar os seus novos espaços, nomeadamente a Biblioteca e Filmoteca, a Sala-Filme, a Livraria e a Cafetaria e Bar”, lê-se no portal de notícias da Câmara Municipal do Porto.
Programação especial de abertura
Dia 9 de dezembro, sexta-feira
A abertura está marcada para as 17h30. Depois disso, o Batalha Centro de Cinema vai exibir duas sessões: “The New Sun” (Agnieska Polska) e “The Day the Earth Stood Still” (Robert Wise), às 18h30 e 21h30, respetivamente.
Em ambas as sessões, acima mencionadas, a entrada é gratuita com levantamento de bilhete no Batalha, no dia 9 de dezembro, a partir das 13h00.
Contudo, a programação deste dia não se fica por aqui. Ainda podes contar com os seguintes planos:
- Exibição de “What The Sun Has Seen + The New Sun”, Agnieszka Polska, 23h30-2h00, com entrada livre;
- DJ’s sets no Bar, igualmente com entrada gratuita, a partir das 2h00.
Dia 10 de dezembro, sábado
Se queres (re)descobrir os espaços do Batalha Centro de Cinema, então aproveita a oportunidade e junta-te à visita guiada (entrada gratuita, com levantamento de bilhete a partir das 10h30), agendada para as 11h30.
Durante a tarde, há uma “Sessão Famílias: Cabeça na Lua”, a partir das 15h15, com a exibição dos seguintes filmes:
- “Viagem à Lua”, Georges Méliès;
- “Os Macacos que Queriam Apanhar a Lua”, Zhou Kequin;
- “Wallace and Gromit — Uma Grande Aventura”, Nick Park.
Além disso, o programa do dia 10 de dezembro (sábado) inclui a antestreia de “A Sibila”, de Eduardo Brito, às 17h15.
Para finalizar o dia, às 21h15, terá lugar a abertura da retrospetiva “Claire Denis: Todo o Corpo”, com a primeira longa-metragem da cineasta francesa, intitulada “Chocolat”.
Dia 11 de dezembro, domingo
No último dia desta programação especial de abertura, às 15h30 há mais uma visita guiada (entrada gratuita, com levantamento de bilhete, a partir das 13h00).
Mas, para além disso, o Batalha Centro de Cinema inclui ainda as seguintes atividades:
- “A Confederação – O Povo é que Faz a História”, de Luís Galvão Teles, às 16h15. Após a exibição do filme tem lugar uma conversa com o cineasta;
- A partir das 19h15 será apresentada a sessão de curtas denominada “Melancolias de Extinção”, com os filmes “The Great Silence”, de Jennifer Allora e Guillermo Calzadilla e “Flores”, de Jorge Jácome.
