Real by Casa da Calçada
Located in downtown Porto, we recently visited Real by Casa da Calçada and were impressed by the new concept of the space, which is divided into a restaurant, cafeteria and a room for private events.
However, let’s leave the details for the article about our experience that will be published soon. For now, and in case you haven’t heard of it, it’s worth noting the relaxed yet sophisticated atmosphere, perfect for a dinner for two.
With the seal of quality of Casa da Calçada, in Amarante, the restaurant offers a gastronomic experience focused on national recipes and a cuisine of memory. There are also different themes on the menu each month.
In the dining room, you’ll be surprised by a skylight that floods the space with pleasant natural light. At the same time, the quality of the wines promises to make your romantic date truly unforgettable.

Blind
The Blind restaurant at Torel Palace Porto is not only one of the most romantic, but also one of the most beautiful in the city.
Here, there is a special tasting menu called “Blind Emotions” – a tribute to José Saramago and his work “Essay on Blindness”.
At the restaurant, run by chef Vítor Matos, the menus are to be discovered ‘blind’, in a perfect combination of food and exploration of all the senses.

This is one of the best italian restaurants but also one of the most romantic places in Porto. With a privileged view of the Douro River, the building is situated in the shadow of the Arrábida Bridge. So you can imagine the stunning scenery all around, right?
If you prefer something more elaborate, then you can opt for the restaurant downstairs. Upstairs or on the terrace, you’ll be treated to excellent pizzas, lasagna and more. A place with an Italian flavor to celebrate love!

Situated on the 17th floor of the elegant Hotel Dom Henrique Downtown, this is one of the spots with one of the best views over the city. At the same time, it is also one of the most romantic restaurants in Porto.

Located about ten minutes’ walk from the Porto Botanical Garden ikeda is another place you could consider for a romanticdate.
If you like asian restaurants then this is probably a good option for you. Here you’ll find classic sushi among other dishes, but also a beautiful and photogenic space.
As well as good food, one of the attractions is the ceiling alluding to Japanese culture.

If you’re looking for more typical cuisine, then Taberna dos Mercadores is one of the romantic restaurants to consider.
Located near Ribeira, the restaurant is small, but the atmosphere is very welcoming.
