Summer is synonymous with beaches and heat, but also with good food and lots of music. After all, from the north to the south of Portugal there are countless festivals to liven up the hottest season… and one of them stands out for its wines and privileged views – the Douro & Porto Wine Festival.
The 4th edition of this initiative kicks off this Friday, July 4, and runs until Saturday, July 5, promising to turn the Commercial Port of Cambres, in Lamego, into a real party. Located less than 1h30 by car from Porto, let’s find out more about this event.
What’s so special about the Douro & Porto Wine Festival?
The city of Porto has no shortage of festivals, such as Primavera Sound Porto, MEO Marés Vivas and Porto Blues Fest, among others. However, the Douro & Porto Wine Festival stands out for combining the best of three worlds: music, gastronomy and wine.
There, you’ll find dozens of producers and hundreds of wine labels, all from the Douro region, including Quinta da Pacheca and Lavradores da Feitoria. There are also several stalls with regional food and snacks, not to mention showcookings and sensory experiences.
A luxury musical line-up
