From Denmark to the world, LEGO bricks are captivating kids and adults alike with their endless building possibilities. And this ‘craze’ seems to be taking Greater Porto by storm . After all, the cultural agenda has not one, but two exhibitions dedicated to the LEGO universe.
On the other side of the River Douro, in Vila Nova de Gaia, the WOW cultural quarter is preparing to host BrickWorld. However, it’s not the only LEGO show you can visit. In fact, from October 24 (Friday) until April 6, 2026, Europe’s largest exhibition of LEGO models will move to Alfândega do Porto.
Figures worthy of ‘giants’

“The Invasion of the Giants” is the name of this temporary exhibition, which promises to surprise the whole family. You only have to look at the exhibition’s numbers to realize that the name lives up to the reality of the initiative.
Just to give you an idea, the LEGO exhibition has 10 million pieces; occupying an area of 2,000 square meters; more than 100 impressive models and hundreds of models.
Which buildings are the highlights?
There is no shortage of attractions that will catch visitors’ attention. However, some of the main featured buildings include:

What are the main themed areas?

Europe’s largest exhibition of LEGO bricks is divided into several themed areas to appeal to everyone, including “Cinema”, “Architecture”, “Cartoons ” with several models inspired by “South Park”, “Minions” and the enchanted world of Disney Princesses.
In addition, the Alfândega do Porto Congress Center is the setting for other themed zones, such as the “Games Zone”, the “Human Body” (where teaching is synonymous with having fun) and the “Movie Zone” with references to the Addams Family, Harry Potter and more.
What is the Fun Park?
In the exhibition of models made with LEGO pieces, you also have the opportunity to participate in the creative process, whether you’re a child or an adult.
In the Fun Park there are three different play areas for everyone to ‘get to work’. The little ones are invited to have fun in the “Little Ones Station”.
The “Besties World” area is a world of friendship and pink life. In the Fun Zone, everyone is invited to show their creativity.
Want a unique selfie?
