If you are looking for exhibitions to visit in the city, mark your calendar now: there are three new free exhibitions coming to the Galeria Municipal do Porto. Opening on March 14, starting at 5 p.m., the exhibitions will remain open until June.
“Collapse” in our society
On the first floor of the Porto Municipal Gallery, Silvestre Pestana, a leading figure in contemporary art in Porto, is the artist who will be featured with a new large-scale installation entitled “Collapse.” The work presents an analysis of the impacts and debris of technology on our society .
Unpublished works

On the ground floor, “Comissões #1” marks the debut of a new initiative by the Municipal Gallery of Porto, which aims to support the production of unpublished works. Curated by João Laia and João Terras, this exhibition presents works by Mauro Cerqueira, Joana Escoval, Sara Graça, Catarina Miranda, and Mariya Nesvyetaylo.
Between species and geographies
On the first basement floor, the work of Portuguese-Mozambican multidisciplinary artist Eunice Pais stands out with “Pele do Mar” (Skin of the Sea), where she draws on different legacies to question forms of coexistence between species and geographies.
25 years of culture
These three exhibitions come at a particularly important time for the Porto Municipal Gallery, as it has just celebrated its 25th anniversary.
Located in the Gardens of the Crystal Palace and covering an area of around 1,500 square meters, this free-access space is one of the cultural hubs of the city of Invicta.
