The francesinha is one of the most famous gastronomic delights in the city of Porto and the surrounding area, so it’s no surprise that there are themed events dedicated to this delicacy. On April 25 and 26, this dish is the protagonist of the Francesinha Festival, taking place right next door.
More specifically, the VP at WOW (Vila Nova de Gaia’s cultural quarter) is the setting chosen for this initiative , with live music, tables and francesinhas to suit all tastes. And all this overlooking the River Douro and the historic houses of Ribeira do Porto.
In a statement sent to Porto Secreto, WOW said the following:
The traditional version will be the star of the menu, but there are more original variations, such as chicken francesinha, cod, seafood, vegetarian or with pizza dough.”
According to the same source, the francesinha menu of your choice with potatoes included and a drink (beer or soft drink) costs €15, and tickets can be purchased in advance on the official WOW website or on the days of the event at the venue.
