The ‘dear month of August’ is coming to an end, but not without a series of themed events for all tastes. In Porto, you can visit the city’s Book Fair and next door you can ‘fill your belly’ at Maia’s Francesinhas Festival. However, there is also room for historical re-enactments, such as the Malta Medieval Fair, in the municipality of Vila do Conde.
On August 30 and 31 (Saturday and Sunday, respectively), the Largo de Santa Apolónia, in the parish of Malta and Canidelo, about a 30-minute drive from Porto, will host the 4th edition of the local historical re-enactment. Admission is free and there’s guaranteed entertainment for kids and adults alike.
