While many take advantage of Saturday to sleep in a little longer, others prefer to start the weekend by working out outdoors. Porto.Comvida is back for another edition, offering free fitness and calisthenics classes in three areas of the city every Saturday through the end of September.
A free outdoor program
Launched in 2024, Porto.Comvida is a municipal program created with the goal of encouraging healthier lifestyles by making use of the street workout stations that the city has installed at various locations throughout the city. It is promoted by Ágora, Porto’s municipal culture and sports company.
Three locations, one hour of training

Classes are always held on Saturdays, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., at three different locations: Castelo do Queijo, Jardim do Cálem, and Parque do Covelo, all equipped with street workout facilities.
The sessions include general warm-up exercises, fitness, physical conditioning, and calisthenics, always led by specialized instructors. This year, the program also features a partnership with Flower Power Surf School, which helps energize the classes alongside the regular team of instructors.
Tailored to each participant
Before their first session, each participant undergoes a brief physical fitness assessment, which allows instructors to tailor the exercises to each person’s age, abilities, and needs. This makes the classes accessible both to those taking their first steps in physical exercise and to those who already have more experience.
