In June, the Strawberry Full Moon has delighted many fans of astronomical phenomena, but also photographers. However, there is now a new occurrence about to make itself felt in the skies, namely a raining stars: the Delta Aquáridas.
According to information published on the Tecmundo website, this meteor shower occurs every year and is scheduled to last from July 12 to August 23.
According to the same source, the peak of activity should occur on the night of July 31. At this time, and under normal conditions, it may be possible to observe up to 20 meteors per hour.
However, it is important to mention that visibility may be hampered. In fact, through the Portuguese website “Postal”, the astronomer Fernando Pinheiro points out that the Fourth Crescent on July 28 could cause constraints in the observation of the raining stars.
Even so, it’s always worth taking a closer look at the sky, especially in places far from big cities and light pollution.
