June is synonymous with festivals and popular saints. From the north to the south of Portugal, celebrations are multiplying. But for us, nothing is better than the São João in Porto. So get the basil, sardines and hammerheads ready. Well, the program for the longest night of the year has just been revealed.
The announcement was made this Friday, May 24th, at a press conference attended by the Mayor of Porto, Rui Moreira, and the councillor and chairman of Ágora’s Board of Directors, Catarina Araújo. The festivities will be divided into three stages and the fireworks will be launched from the Ribeira.
As previously reported, this year, the Boavista traffic circle will not host the traditional carousels and other similar attractions. Instead, the entertainment areas will be divided into three spaces, from June 7 to 30, in the following parts of the city:
-
- Alameda das Fontainhas
- António Calem Garden
- Avenida D. Carlos I
