Who can resist a pizza? It’s almost hard to find someone who doesn’t enjoy this delicacy from “La Bella Italia”, right? Of course, a pizza italian has a different flavor. But the truth is, you don’t have to go that far. And these are our favorite pizzerias in Porto (and beyond).
The order presented is random, but the recommendations are all equally delicious. With mozzarella, thin and crispy crust or thick edges, there’s a pizza for everyone. So sit down at the table, alone or accompanied, and prepare yourself for an unforgettable meal.

Muti
Muti is undoubtedly one of the best pizzerias in Porto. With a space that combines the art of good food with the concept of wine bar the pizzas that come out of the oven are truly Neapolitan. In other words, with a thin crust and a high edge.
In fact, the quality of Muti’s pizzas has even been recognized internationally, with the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana distinguishing it as the house with the “vera pizza napoletana”. So, a sort of ‘Michelin star’ for the pizza world.
📍Picaria Street 55,
Okra
Okra is not a ‘typical’ pizzeria, in the literal sense of the word. Here, the decor and atmosphere immediately make this space stand out, and it could well be on our list of places to visit porto’s most beautiful restaurants.
In addition, there is a clear commitment to less conventional pizzas, made in a wood-fired oven, but just as appetizing. In addition, you can always choose to take a cocktail in the bar at the entrance, for a memorable experience.
📍Rua Adolfo Casais Monteiro, 94
Il Fornaio 178
There are several pizzerias in Porto, but not all of them offer Neapolitan pizzas. At Il Fornaio 178, you’ll have the chance to find everything from the classics to the originals.
In addition, the decor is modern and minimalist, creating a very pleasant atmosphere for those who want to eat well and enjoy a meal in excellent company.

Addictions at the table
This is not a traditional choice, but it is one of our favorite places. Located on Rua de Passos Manuel, the restaurant of the iconic Maus Hábitos has a great vegetarian offer.
At the same time, the pizzas are noteworthy for the creativity of their names. For example, here you can ‘devour’ Van Gogh amalia, Marlon Brando and many more.

Il Pizzaiolo
For those who like Neapolitan-style pizzas, here’s a good suggestion: Il Pizzaiolo.
Located in downtown Porto, this delicacy is made by experienced Italian chefs using products from “Bella Italia”… and the best thing about it is the custom-made oven!
As well as tasty pizzas, here you can try other specialties of Italian cuisine, such as risottos and pastas.
📍Rua Cândido dos Reis, 18
Mezzero
To round off this list, how about a trip to Matosinhos? Yes, we know that the article is dedicated to the best pizzerias in Porto, but let’s face it, it makes perfect sense to include the neighboring county.
After all, this is where you’ll find the pizzeria of Antonio Mezzero, the renowned Neapolitan master pizzaiolo. For example, he was recently responsible for giant pizza (and free) distributed near the Clérigos Tower.
In this restaurant you’ll find high quality Neapolitan pizzas, of course, always made with fresh produce. A classic for lovers of this delicacy and a touch of la bella italia, right here near us.
📍Av. Menéres 390, Matosinhos
Casa da Foz
With more than 20 years of existence, Casa da Foz is a well-known restaurant in Porto, located in the Foz Velha area.
There, you can eat delicious thin-crust pizzas made in a wood-fired oven, which always gives this Italian delicacy another flavor.
