Porto’s nightlife recently suffered a blow with the closure of Tendinha dos Clérigos, a venue particularly appreciated by fans of riffs and guitars. However, there are other places to go out at night in Invicta, including the new Pink bar-disco, which occupies the same space as Tendinha, but with a different and more commercial concept.
As such, mainstream music fans have a new place to try out. Fans of alternative sounds, on the other hand, have fewer and fewer places where they can feel at ease enjoying the best of rock ‘n’ roll. Even so, and without claiming to be a definitive guide, we decided to put together a list of different options for those who want to go out at night in Invicta. Shall we take a look?
Table Of Contents
Pink
With the closure of Tendinha dos Clérigos, a remarkable chapter in Porto’s nightlife came to an end. But, as nothing ever stops in Invicta, the legacy remains in the family: at the same number on Rua Conde de Vizela, Pinkwas born .
Now under the leadership of Osvaldo Fonseca (son of Alberto Fonseca, former owner of Tendinha), the space has been reborn with a new concept. While rock was the focus before, Pink looks to the future with a more mainstreamsound , designed for new generations looking for color, energy, and, of course, the guarantee that the party there will continue to be the last to end.

Plano B
If there is one place that had to be mentioned in this guide dedicated to Porto’s clubs and discos, it is undoubtedly Plano B. Considered a true veteran in the heart of Galerias de Paris, this venue has provided music for many Porto residents(and more recently for tourists).
With a multidisciplinary essence, the offering is spread over three spaces, divided into two floors. In the main room, Plano B frequently hosts house and techno DJs. The Palco room hosts concerts of various musical genres. And finally, the top floor is a kind of area dedicated to exhibitions and more.
Plano B usually hosts several well-known names, as well as emerging talents from the national and international music scene, such as Jamie XX, Peaches, El Guincho, Buraka Som Sistema, Yacht, among many others. There are options for (almost) all tastes.
Maus Hábitos
Located on the iconic Rua de Passos Manuel, where the Coliseu Porto Ageas is also located, Maus Hábitos is already a classic in Porto’s nightlife and cultural agenda.
Located on the 4th floor, the space is much more than a nightclub, combining different facets. Concert hall, gallery, bar, and restaurant —Vícios À Mesa (where you can find delicious pizzasand more)—the options are varied and enrich its offering.
Maus Hábitos promotes an alternative cultural environment, embracing an urban and creative audience. Its regular schedule features popular parties such as O Salgado Faz Anos… Fest!, Beyoncé Fest, Batidão Baile Funk, among others.

Pérola Negra
Located just a few minutes’ walk from the Trindade metro station, Pérola Negra is another of Porto’s nightclubs to consider for a night out.
This venue has had several lives, and only a few decorative details remain from its past as a strip club. Today, it is a meeting place for those who enjoy dancing to electronic, disco, pop, and other types of music.
Although slightly off the beaten track of Porto’s nightlife scene, such as Galerias de Paris, Pérola Negra continues to attract locals and tourists alike. It also hosts special nights with performances by national and international DJs to attract a curious, inclusive, and alternative audience.

Located near the famous São Bento Station, Barracuda was founded by the well-known Rodas (responsible for other emblematic projects in the city, such as Cave 45 and Comix Bar).
This place is perfect for those who enjoy rock, punk, and alternative indie music. In addition, there is a regular program of very interesting concerts, perfect for enjoying music with a drink in hand.
📍Rua da Madeira, 186
Gare Porto
Close to Barracuda, there is another club and/or disco in Porto that attracts the attention of locals and tourists alike: Gare Porto.
This venue is particularly aimed at those who love techno and house — styles that set the pace for parties.
With an industrial and underground atmosphere, it has hosted artists such as Nina Kraviz and Jeff Mills, among many others.
