Divino
Located near Jardim do Morro, Divino Restaurant & Lounge recently opened in Vila Nova de Gaia, just next door.
The space has a minimalist yet refined décor, inviting visitors to enjoy an incredible view of Porto and the Douro River.
With a fine dining concept, this new restaurant has tasting menus and it is also possible to order à la carte.
Where: Rua do General Torres, 344, Vila Nova de Gaia
Hours: Monday to Saturday, from 12:30 to 15:00 and from 19:30 to 22:30
Pizzeria Fontinha Hotel
The Pizzeria at the Fontinha Hotel opened recently and the quality of the menu is guaranteed by chefs Pierre-Olivier Petit and Miguel Rocha Vieira (three Michelin stars), who supervised its preparation.
In addition, the Neapolitan-style pizzas are the main protagonists here and the main ingredients are brought directly from Italy. A place to consider for lovers of transalpine food.

Nani Bistrot
The younger ‘brother’ of the Alto restaurant opened recently and stands out for its Armenian-Georgian cuisine. Located in Rua da Torrinha, you don’t need to book to sit at a table at Nani Bistrot. Here, a traditional, homely and comfortable concept dominates .
Or, if it weren’t for “Nani”, an affectionate diminutive in Armenian for “grandmother”. The aim is to welcome those who enter as if they were at home. The prices are more affordable and the portions are larger than in Alto. And there are meat dishes, but also vegetarian versions.

Babel
To start this article on new restaurants in Porto, we head to Rua dos Caldeireiros to discover Babel. As its name suggests, it aims to be a multicultural meeting place. Here, seasonal ingredients predominate, so the menu is adapted to each season.
It’s worth mentioning the cocktail menu, which aims to harmonize with the gastronomic options. There are dishes for meat lovers such as Massada de Borrego, for seafood fans such as Peixe Raw Raw (fish tartar) and even for vegetarians a Pumpkin Pantufa.
Dishes cost between €7 and €20. Cocktails range from €7 to €9.

Hours: Wednesday to Sunday, from 18:00 to 00:00
New Wok, where you can repeat yourself
The world of the ‘all you can eat buffet ‘ has landed in Porto, where you can find a few options. However, one of the most recent is New Wok. With menus starting at €11.95, the choice is varied, including Asian and Mediterranean flavors.
The space is spacious and the décor appeals to those who like to fill their social media profiles with photos. What’s more, the ‘robot kittens’ help the staff and will bring some of the dishes to your table. More specifically, those grilled in a wok.
Prices differ depending on the meal and the day of the week. That is, on weekdays, at lunchtime the meal costs €11.95 per person (excluding drinks and coffee) and at dinner the price is €15.95 per person. On public holidays and weekends, the price is €16.95.

Neither meat nor fish
The name says it all. Nem Carne Nem Peixe is one of the newest restaurants in Porto, focusing on vegetarian food.
With a disruptive and plant-based concept, traditional Portuguese recipes are being given a new lease of life in these parts.
The menu is full of reinvented dishes, where vegetable alternatives predominate, to show that vegetarian food is synonymous with pleasure.

Hours: Monday to Saturday, from 12 noon to 11 p.m.
Shiok, a ‘jungle’ of Asian flavors
Asian flavors have conquered Porto. From restaurants dedicated to sushi and ramen to South Korean food, the people of Porto seem to enjoy traveling through food (and so do we). In this context, we’d like to introduce you to Shiok.
Located on Rua de Cedofeita, this is one of the newest Asian restaurants in the city. Operating since the end of 2023, this place immediately catches the eye with its exotic décor, almost reminiscent of a jungle.
With a menu that excels in fusing Thai, Vietnamese and Indonesian cuisine, the average price per person is between €20 and €30. We’ve been there and we recommend it!
