Famous all over the world, Oktoberfest is the biggest beer festival there is. Originating in the 19th century in Munich, in German Bavaria, this celebration can only be compared to St. Patrick’s Day when it comes to the prominence of beer. Porto has already celebrated it at the Bom Sucesso Market, but now a new initiative has just been launched at the Taberna Londrina restaurants.
What does this mean? Well, anyone who knows the francesinhas from Taberna Londrina, which was founded in Guimarães, knows that their taste is different from the classic recipes from Porto. Even though they are loved by some and shunned by others, it is certain that this delicacy has already won over many fans. However, the restaurant chain has decided to go one step further.
To celebrate Oktoberfest, Taberna Londrina is launching a peculiar offer: the Francesinha Schnitzel. The themed promotion will only be available from October 3 to 5 (Friday to Sunday), not only in the restaurants in Porto, but in all the chain’s units in Portugal.

What kind of francesinha is this?
This special edition is a fusion between the iconic Portuguese francesinha and the flavors of Bavaria, with a surprising crunchy touch. A unique experience for lovers of good gastronomy,” reads a press release.
In addition to the Francesinha Schnitzel, the Oktoberfest celebration couldn’t be complete without beer. So, during the weekend, when you buy a Super Bock or Super Bock Stout, the second one is free.
