Flower Kitchen
In operation since February 2023, the opening of Cozinha das Flores was one of the most significant restaurant openings.
The space is located right at the end of the busy Rua das Flores of which the Flôr bar and a hotel are part.
The restaurant’s concept is simple and relaxed, but without forgetting the quality of its products and a mix of bohemian style.
Here, the seasonal and regional gastronomic proposals stand out, in a menu inspired by the North of Portugal.

Shiok
Lovers of asian restaurants this tip is for you! In September 2023, Shiok was born in Rua de Cedofeita, which means very tasty and delicious. We went there and saw that it was true.
With its exotic décor, fusion cuisine predominates here, with influences from Thai, Vietnamese and Indonesian cu isines. Also noteworthy is the palette of aromas, made up of fresh spices and aromatic herbs.
The restaurant, which seats 44 people, is open every day from 12h00 to 00h00. The average price per person varies between €20 and €30, positioning Shiok as an affordable option among quality Asian restaurants.

Assador Portuense
Have you ever heard of Morriña? Yes, the Galician tavern that is one of our favorite bars in the city. Well, Xulio Santiños, the owner of that space, has opened a new restaurant: Assador Portuense.
Housed in the old Casa Margaridense, the concept here differs from the typical Galician flavors of ‘sister’ Morriña. In other words, at Assador Portuense it’s the grilled meats that rule.
Particularly noteworthy in this context is the arouquesa and barrosã PDO meat with oven rice. So there’s a focus on traditional Portuguese dishes. In addition, and living up to its name, the outdoor grill is a marvel.
Inside, in terms of decoration, it’s impossible not to notice the original features that have been kept from the old Casa Margaridense, dating back to the 19th century. XIX. The wooden counter and wall clock remain intact.

Han Table Barbecue
The Han Table Barbecue restaurants were one of the most recent additions to Porto and in Vila Nova de Gaia in 2023. We had the opportunity to visit the korean space on the other side of the river and we wanted to go back.
With view overlooking the magnificent Douro, here there is a “do it yourself” concept. In other words, we grilled our own food at the table, from meat to vegetables, not forgetting seafood.
Our favorites are undoubtedly the “Han Combination” with beef brisket, traditional lotus flower steak, shrimp, squid and kid, among other products. The Black Pink Chicken is also a real treat!
