Few cities can boast of being closely linked to a flower, but in the case of Porto’s “garden,” camellias have reigned supreme since 1880. With more than 370 varieties scattered throughout Invicta, this flower, which is as elegant as it is resilient, has just been celebrated in a very special tourist itinerary.
The “Camellia Route” can be found on the “Plan Your Journey” digital platform , run by the Department of Tourism and Internationalization of the Porto City Council. In total, there are 21 points of interest that now join other existing suggestions on urban art or the secrets of the mythical Camino de Santiago.
