Some are still unnoticed, but others are already symbols of the city. Be that as it may, in this article we’ve chosen some of the best places in Porto that we already know and intend to revisit in 2025.
This is a retrospective of the museums and (very) fun places that have marked our history-loving geek side, as well as different spots. We’ve even started making our list for next year. But until then, take a look at this itinerary. Let’s go?
Table Of Contents
Neonia, interactive museum
Inaugurated in April 2024 in downtown Porto, Neonia is an interactive museum that promises to delight kids and adults alike by combining science, art, technology and history in a retro-futuristic environment.
Housed in a former bank, the space has 1500 square meters and 18 rooms full of art installations, where you’ll find various projections and games, in a kind of journey between the past and the future of the city of Porto.
📍Rua de Ceuta, 116
USAxe Club Porto
More than just a place to eat and drink, USAxe Club Porto is a place to have fun with friends, or even on a date with your better half.
Located on Rua das Oliveiras, near Aduela, this space is inspired by the North American style, combining leisure and sport. There, you can throw tainted and save the world from zombies or terrible viruses.
With two floors, USAxe Club Porto includes a dining room, bar and a rooftop for summer days. It’s also a great option for birthday parties and team building events. We’ve been there… and in 2025 we intend to return!
📍Rua das Oliveiras, 42
3D Fun Art Museum
This year, we had the opportunity to visit the 3D Fun Art Museum and it was an unforgettable experience! With more than 40 scenes full of optical illusions, this interactive space guarantees fun for all ages.
There, you can climb walls, fly like a superhero or interact with creative images that challenge the imagination. And of course, we took the opportunity to record many memorable moments in unique photographs. If you’re keen to visit the 3D Fun Art Museum, then you can book your place here.
📍Rua de Faria Guimarães, 712
Best gardens in the world
In 2024, four gardens in Porto were awarded the “Green Flag Award”, listing them among the best green spaces in the world.
So we took the opportunity to (re)visit each of these incredible places:
- Crystal Palace Gardens
- Porto Botanical Garden
- City Park
- Passeio Alegre Garden
📍Various locations
MMIPO – Museum and Church of Misericórdia do Porto
Located on the trendy Rua das Flores, MMIPO – Museu e Igreja da Misericórdia do Porto is one of the must-see museums. Despite being located in the heart of the historic center, this place still goes ‘unnoticed’ for some.
Here, you’ll find various art collections, exhibitions, a 16th-century church and even one of Porto’s best rooftops.
📍R. das Flores, 15
Fernando de Castro House-Museum
Until relatively recently, the Fernando de Castro House-Museum remained almost a secret place in the city. But recently, it has captured the attention of many media, including ours.
On our visit to this true ‘altar without a cult’, we found one of the most eccentric places in Porto, where logic doesn’t rule.
Paintings, sculptures, books, sacred art and gilded woodwork adorn the interior of the house where the collector Fernando de Castro lived.
📍 Rua de Costa Cabral, 716

Casa São Roque
Despite having been in a state of disrepair for several years, Casa São Roque is currently one of the most beautiful places in the city.
In the past, it housed António Ramos Pinto, a Port wine magnate. Today, however, it is a contemporary art space.
It’s also worth (re)visiting the São Roque Park and its instagrammable labyrinth.
📍 R. São Roque da Lameira, 2092
Porto Cathedral
This is one of the must-see monuments in Porto.
Located in the heart of the historic center, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Cathedral is a monumental medieval building.
Inside, you’ll find the Gothic Cloister, the Chapter House and the pipe organ, among other ‘treasures’.
📍 Porto Cathedral, Terreiro da Sé
