Anyone who still associates Porto with a “gray” city has not seen the more than 100,000 tulips that flood the main flower beds and gardens of Invicta every year, long before spring arrives.
Planted by professionals from the Porto Municipal Nursery, these flowers are now a kind of tradition that transforms the urban landscape into veritable photographic backdrops.
Among the most emblematic places to see tulips are the Jardim de São Lázaro, the Jardins do Passeio Alegre, the Jardins do Palácio de Cristal, the Casa do Roseiral, Rua do Infante D. Henrique, and Praça Antero de Figueiredo, as well as spaces such as the Trindade Metro Station.
