Visit some exhibitions
If, after eating (a lot and well), you still don’t feel like going home, you can always enjoy our city’s cultural agenda.
After all, there are always several exhibitions going on in Porto. And on rainy days, it’s a program that tastes even better, right?
Warming the heart and soul with hot chocolate
Few things taste better on rainy days than a delicious hot chocolate.
Alone or with others, to relax or read a book, this is always an option for any Porto resident.
Dinner in the dark and blindfolded
In bad weather, outdoor activities lose their prominence, so you feel like staying in a cozy, sheltered environment. However, this suggestion is fun (and a good idea) for any time: “Dining in the Dark”.
In may you can dine in the dark and blindfolded, in a multi-sensory gastronomic experience. It’s the perfect plan to do with your partner, friends or even to surprise your loved one mother.
Enjoy a delicious brunch
Brunch is already part of every Porto resident’s imagination. But where to go with your friends?
There’s no shortage of options, so it’s best to take a look around our itinerary full of suggestions.
Immerse yourself in the world of Neon Brush
In May, Neon Brush arrives in Porto for the first time. It’s an original experience where you can literally paint in the dark while enjoying a good drink.
(Re)discovering our history by visiting monuments
Recently, Porto was considered theBest City Destination in the World. But he believes that it’s not just the tourists who can and should make the most of our history.
That’s why we advise you to visit some of our main landmarks, where there’s always plenty to learn and contemplate. These are just a few of our favorites (but there are many more, of course!):
- Stock Exchange Palace;
- Cheese Castle;
- Clérigos Church and Tower;
- Porto Cathedral among others .
Attend a flamenco show
Attending a good musical show is always good, but it’s even better in the rain, especially when it’s something different, as is the case with “We Call It Flamenco”, which is coming to Porto in May.
Embark on an immersive experience
Shows and immersive experiences are here to stay (and that’s a good thing). At the moment, there are several taking place in Invicta, so we’ve selected a few for you:
- “Living Van Gogh”, at Alfândega do Porto;
- “Mysterious Egypt”, at Alfândega do Porto;
- “Spiritus”, in the Clérigos Church”, among other options.
Visit the best museums in Porto
As well as being places of art and culture, many of Porto’s museums tell important parts of our history, including some curiosities peculiar.
There is no shortage of museums in Invicta , dedicated to the most varied themes and full of attractions. So we’ve put together a brief cultural itinerary with some of our favorites:

Visit a Port Wine Cellar to forget the rain
Whether in a restaurant or a wine cellar, a glass of port Port always tastes good. At the Gaia you’ll find some of the most famous brands of this true ‘nectar of the gods’.

- Cockburn’s, among many others.
Book guided cultural tours
We’ve already mentioned Porto’s museums and monuments, but there are other specific places you can (and should) visit. For example Fernando de Castro House Museum, the city’s most eccentric building, is promoting guided tours of its space for only 5€.
Or you can always go behind the scenes of one of Porto’s greatest cultural symbols, the São João National Theatre. At the same time, you can also book a guided tour of the incredible Monastery and Church of São Bento da Vitória. In both cases, the price is 10€.
