Photographing inspiring places

Anyone who lives in Invicta knows that the city is synonymous with inspiring photographs all year round. Even so, in the fall it seems that the vivid hues give it a special aura.
So, whether you’re a professional photographer or simply want to embellish your social media feed, this is a good opportunity to record memorable images.
The sites are many, but there are some classics that can’t be missed. For example: the Palácio de Cristal Gardens; the streets with the roasted chestnut sellers; and the Porto Botanical Gardens, among other places.
Eating roasted chestnuts

Roasted or cooked, any Porto local can’t do without a good chestnut. After all, it’s practically an obligatory ritual in the fall in Porto. So pay attention, because soon some of the city’s main thoroughfares will be filled with typical smells and flavors.
Rua de Santa Catarina, Trindade metro station, Torre dos Clérigos, Boavista, Praça do Império and the Foz area are usually places to stop.
Seeking coziness in a bookshop

Reading is always a good idea, especially if you have the opportunity to combine a well-deserved break with a drink.
Between pages that tell stories and a coffee that warms the soul, few activities will feel as good in the fall as this one.
If you’re an avid reader, we recommend you stop by places like the always charming Flâneur, Gato Vadio where you can grab a coffee, or the newly opened Not Alone Bookstore & Wine Bar for a wine to go with it.
Attend a concert by candlelight

The Candlelight concerts promoted by Fever are already a classic on Porto’s cultural agenda. But in the fall, these intimate shows take on even more charm.
Under the faint light of hundreds of candles, take the opportunity to (re)live a unique experience in emblematic places. Palácio da Bolsa, The Log Porto Hotel By Piamonte Hotels and Hilton Porto Gaia are some of the venues of choice.
Stroll through the gardens and green spaces

There’s no shortage of themed routes around the city at Secret Porto, such as this list of some of the best gardens and green spaces in Invicta.
In summer, these places serve as a shelter from the heat; in autumn, they are a real invitation to contemplate the unique colors of the season.
Feel the pulse of culture up close

With the arrival of cooler days, enjoying indoor activities is (almost) mandatory, but far from boring, at least in Porto.
In this context, we suggest an incursion into the various exhibitions on display in the city and its surroundings, as well as a visit to the best museums.
Discover what’s new in the city

To make the most of fall in Porto, how about discovering the city’s new sites? We’ll soon be compiling a list of some of the most interesting places to visit.
